Is there any way to make it quieter? As I ask this, please keep in mind that I do not know much if anything about how cars work- the most I can do is change a flat tire. So, it would need to be a really easy fix.

thanks again! June
Are you getting a whooop-whooop noise that sounds sort of like a helicopter? Mine does that at high speeds unless I crack the back windows a bit. I've no idea if its noisier than a Kia, but cracking the windows might take some of the noise you are talking about out... you'll notice there is some sort of a spoiler/airdam right at the front of the moonroof that is plastic with square teeth on it... its spring loaded. I think that might be what makes it noisey. It disrupts the airflow... if your passenger reaches up and pinches it down with the sunroof open you'll see the noise goes down BUT it seems like the helicopter effect starts at lower speeds. I'm not sure if its there to stop it or what, but I think its part of the noise.

The sunroof, at least on my 06, only opens about 85% pf the way with the one-touch feature. This is supposed to reduce noise. If I open the roof the whole way it gets much noisier. If yours opens all the way maybe try backing it off about 3" and see if that cuts down on the noise.

I will try both of those suggestions. It is true, with the weather here in Mass. being so cold lately, I have only had the roof open once or twice. If it stays like this, it will solve my problem! But, it is that helicopter like noise that Tim described.

Thats been my observation as with my '06 as well... the "chopper" taking off is really bad with it fully open.
