Default Low Cost Oil Filters

I just purchased a case of Motorcraft FL-2017B oil filters for my 2009 FEH on eBay for $34 delivered--less than $3 per filter. Seller is cobra-viper 551. As of this writing, there are 8 cases left.

I have purchased many car parts via eBay, and have never been disappointed.

I know that oil filter cost has been an issue with many members. Thanks.

Default Re: Low Cost Oil Filters

I have purchased & installed Canton Racing Products engine oil filters for my cars.

These are rated at 8 microns. The best that I have seen with spin on filters is 30-40 microns. Recognize that there are clearances inside the engine on the order of 8 microns.

I have also installed a bypass flow filter rated at 1 micron.

I think the finer filtration is worth it. I can show a step change improvement in MPG with the installation of the CRP filters at 100,000 miles on my Mustang.
