Default Help. 07 mariner hybrid battery cooling fan operation.

Can someone please tell me if the cooling fans in the hybrid battery pack both rotate same direction. Do they both suck air in? Does one suck air in and one exhaust air out? Which side does what? Are fans interchangeable? Ecape and mariner same setup in hybrids. Mine is 07 mariner.

Both fans draw air into battery case causing positive pressure in case forcing air out into either a recuirculate pattern thru ac unit or out exhaust under bumper cover. There are TWO blend doors, one actuator moving both doors in unison from closed to recuirculate or open to exhaust or in between. System is regulated by computer which is monioring fan speeds, batt temps, air intake temps etc etc. 330v 3 phase fans variable speed if i remember correctly. There is no ev battery exhause backdraft flapper on exhaust port under bumper which serves both body vehicle and ev battery exhausting thru 2 openings the cabin exhaust has flapper but not ev exhaust. SOOOOO HERES WHAT HAPPENS
When your ev battery blend door actuator fails the blend doors will cause a malfunction where they will not close properly to allow for maximum cooling with blend doors closed , ac on and recuirculate. They fail in open position. NOW WHAT HAPPENS
The ev battery calling for max cooling, ac kicks on, doors malfunction in open position when they should b closed for recuirculate. Air DOES NOT recuirculate properly because exhause port blend door is stuck in open position Sucking warm air in from exhaust of ev battery sytem from under bumper cover, allowing ac conditioned air to blow out exhaust port causing fans to over run, temps to go too high on ev battery, fan failure, ev system shutting down from temps too high. Ac not cooling cabin properly. And battery cycling too much. ALL BAD. i replaced my exhaust cover for my cabin and ev battery with one that has 2 flapper valves to prevent backdraft in the event of a blend door failure. Ford design flaw? = no back draft damper on ev batt final exhaust port under bumper cover. Which will cause complete failure of ev cooling if actuator malfunctions.i cannot recommend this without disclaimer. I am only telling you what i did and assume no reslonsibility for your actions.
