Yep. Before you start the car, check the key parameters in Table view. Screenshot them and save it.

relatively low voltage AND low del_mod_v. That's a good start.

That was out of the box and right after installation. I did a few jumps starts after it wouldn't start initially. Until I found I hadn't correctly connected the High volt connector. After I corrected that, it started and ran. I've driven it some last night and this morning and the del_mod_v is always between .13 and .19. So far, so good.

Sounds good. Hopefully this one will last.

Hey, All,

Long term update. Since installing the second warranty replacement battery from Grean Bean, I've had good performance of hybrid system with no self-discharge problem. In the whole adventure, I did end up with a complete core for a 2008 FEH if anyone is interested.

They were hard to communicate with when I bought the battery and harder for the warranty. Eventually I found on a Google search that someone had filed a BBB complaint against them and they seemed to respond rather quickly then. I filed the claim below claim with BBB on 8/15.

Complaint Details
I placed an order for a reconditioned hybrid battery for my car on 2/13/24. I was told it would take some time to have one ready and eventually brought my car to their shop in Gresham Oregon to have it installed on 4/12/24. I paid $2424.00 for the battery with installation and a three year warranty. I started experiencing problems with the battery on 4/20/24. I think I initially filed a warranty inquiry online on 5/21. I submitted additional information as requested on 6/11 and have inquired twice about this since then. I have had no communications from them since to indicate when this might be resolved.

I got an email from BBB on 9/10 with the following response from Green Bean.

MESSAGE FROM BUSINESS:

We apologize for the delay. Because of the delays on our end, we are refunding the customer in full effective 9/9/24.

I was hoping that they would fix the problem, but I guess I should be happy to get my money back. Now I'm back to looking for a long term solution.

Green Bean is a horrible company. Avoid at all costs! I bought a replacement battery with a "lifetime" warranty from them about 5 years ago for my gen 3 Prius. When it failed in May 2025, all I got was promises and the run around for months while my car sat in the garage. I finally had a shop (not Toyota) order an OEM battery from Toyota and had it installed. I'm still getting emails from GB promising that my replacement battery is almost ready. As of 9/25 the last email said the battery would be ready in 2 weeks. Haven't heard from them since. The customer service rep was rude and defensive and didn't seem to really care whether we got a battery or not. We reported GB to the BBB and got apologies and promises from the GB rep, but no action. Stay away from GB!!

As they say "Your milage may vary." I initially had a hard time because they were moving from Oregon to Nashville area. The battery I have now is working fine.
