If you do show up. I either buy you a beer, or a gallon of gas.
Your choice.

I checked it out, just over 1400 miles, or 10 gallons in that new vehicle.
Google says it could take about 22 hours.

There you go, an opportunity for a long road test, 2800 miles in 44 hours & only topping off the tank 2 times?!? (actually double that as you need to go pick him up, bring him down & reverse the trip to get both of you back home!)

And here I am still waiting on my "stock" version.

I am thinking about 2 days each way, perhaps with stops in Boise, which is about half way.
Round trip would be about 6 tank loads of gas, about $250-$300.
Would have to take about a week off work too.

Has anyone tried to fold down the back seats and sleep in the back? I should measure the length to see if I could put an air mattress in there.

I have. It is about 5 and a half feet long.
I had to sleep at a diagonal which was fine.
Fine for 1 person. 2 would be pretty cramped.

However, I have also slept in the front seat, which reclines back to nearly horizontal, and it is "softer". It was not bad, and took less effort than sleeping in the back. P.S. Gas in Colorado was $2.65 this week, just FYI.

Let me know the plan and I will probably be there. However, I am a big Broncos fan and will be at the games or watching the games on Sundays. I would also be up for an mpg challenge if that happens.

Okay, I'm happy no one voted for the first two weekends in September.
Those are off limits for me now.
At the last minute, my work schedule changed and I'm working Sept 15 and the 22nd. The one after I should not be working. Which is the 29th?
I only have a work schedule for Sept.
In October, I'll have to play it by ear.

Does everyone ( so far ) like a Saturday better than Sunday?

October is probably the best month around here for high MPG.
Right now, it's too hot and the battery needs A/C pretty much every day!
