Fusimoto valve does not fit!
All...
I changed my oil today in my 08 with the intent to put in a Fusimoto valve.
Be warned that the oil pan protrudes in such a way that the valve cannot be twisted in. So don't order one...

Are you referring to the Fumoto valve, http://www.quickoildrainvalve.com/ ?
If so, their website very clearly states: "Escape hybrid requires adapter ADP106 to install the valve due to the recessed plug port. "
It sounds like you didn't install the extender.
