Cabin Heater Pump - Part?
Hello,
So, I bought my 2006 FEH last summer, and on a hot day I noticed found out the hard way that my MECS pump was bad. Thanks to the instructions on these forums... that has been resolved! And for $400 less than the dealer wanted.
Well, now that we're averaging -20 Celsius (-4 F) temperatures where I am, I've noticed that my Cabin Heater Pump definitely isn't working either. With the ICE off there's no heat. I thought I could put up with it but I can't... and my wife has definitely made it clear to me I need this situation fixed!
So, I've been looking around and it sems the the part number for the Cabin Heater Pump is: #6M6Z18D473AA, can someone confirm if that is the part I need to replace?
In searching for that part it appears so... however I found that this part may also be related / correct to use to repair my 'heat-when-the-ICE-is-off' issue: Bosch 96163
Is this correct? Can I use either part? Are they the same part?
I'm also looking for instructions of replacing this part, I tried to find them in these forums (since the MECS replacement instructions I found before were awesome!) but I can't seem to see if anyone else has replaced this heater part pump themselves!
Thanks for any help you can provide!

Ah, yes. Thanks for that... it looks like that's correct.
However, I just found this part number which looks like it is the correct part#:
#8M6Z-18D473-A
The above looks quite similar to the original that I had looked at previously:
#6M6Z-18D473-AA
Not being a car guy, are both the above parts the same, or similar? Would either one work for me?
Thanks.

I realize I'm only talking to myself here, but thought it might be nice in case anyone else is looking for the same info in the future.
I called Ford and the part seems like it is the same, just different countries.
USA: #8M6Z-18D473-A - Quoted at $270.00 CAD
Canada: #6M6Z-18D473-AA - Quoted at $258.00 CAD

Thanks so much for the info. Was looking around and this was the cheapest I found it for, it was $111. Even with the $48 faster shipping option to Canada it's still $100 cheaper than what Ford wanted.
And considering Ford was saying 10 days for delivery I should get it around the same time, if not sooner.
Now I just have to get it installed. I would try myself but it seems it's much more involved than the MECS pump I did this past summer... (Anyone have a service manual from which they can share this procedure?
)
EDIT - Has Speedy Auto install the pump for $218.00 including new coolant. All seems good now! Total cost (Part: $111, Shipping: $48, Install: $218 - Total $377)
