Oh yeah, filled up. 31.8 mpg. Pretty good to me.

 

Does the FEH has full-time AWD? My impression was that it is a automatic 4WD, meaning it's usually FWD until necessary, if the front wheels are losing traction, the AWD/4WD would kick in. Anyone care to clarify on this?

 

Mine's been steadily improving as well. I filled up today, and on my last tank (5th, I think) I got 31.6 mpg. Love this warm weather...

Hawflake-
The AWD has sensors in each wheel that feel the slippage and send signals to the traction drive which will then turn the axle of the opposite axle. Under normal conditions front wheel drive (FWD) but AWD (4WD when required). The driver has no control.

 

Thanks Mike, hopefully the 4WD is as good as promised, I had quite an interesting time this past winter trying to get my two sport coupes going places in the snow. I traded in one of them for the FEH. That and I just hate driving a manual in DC traffic, yuck. Baltimore to DC rush hour, 40 miles, two and half hours.
