Default Anyone find an override for the Nav?

I know with other models there are some soft keys that allow you to override the "lawyer" block on using the Nav system while in motion. The whole reason we bought my wifes MDX was the nav allowed co-pilot or driver to add or change destinations or look up an address on the fly. With the Lexus I know you can override it but I cannot find anything on Fords.

Thanks

In the 2005-2007 there is a way I found by interrupting the VSS or Vehicle Speed Sensor wire. I have a button installed in my vehicle that allows me to use all Nav features in motion.
Read the directions here:

Sounds a lot like the same BS you have to go through to use the GM line too. Oh well I don't want to have to get that deep into it. I was hoping there was a soft key override.

Thanks!

If people would stop sueing manufacturer's for their *OWN* stupidity, their lawyers wouldn't force the engineers to put non-overrideable "safety features" into their equipment.

Hi - I posted a tread back in 12-05 showing how to make the modifications to the NAV system that will allow you to get to the POI's and other things that are grayed out while the vehicle is moving. Works great and is really kind of simple to to. The thread is "Getting to POI (and others) While Moving."

I agree 100% it is called personal responsibility.
