ah, but you chose to pay the extra money for the vehicle at the time of purchase instead of eventually paying the "savings" back in purchasing more fuel with the less efficient non hybrid...
Good choice, even if you didnt get the 3 k....
pay extra for the vehicle and save on the fuel, or pay less for the vehicle and eventually burn up the purchase price savings in fuel....

I'm in NorCal and I bought my 2008 FEH 4WD in Late December on the xPlan. Also no problem from the dealer. Although I think he wasn't too thrilled as it is a 'corporate courtesy' and he didn't make too much extra off of me.

Well, I did a lot of calling and have ordered a 2009 FEH at MSRP plus a 299 admin charge that the dealer had printed on his form. I am satisfied. The first place with the enormous premium (+$5000) did make me feel like I needed to resolve the issue and decide if I was going to place an order. Now I just wait for the build schedule.

Contact some SoCal dealers via the Internet, let them know you are in another state and I'll bet you get savings that will pay for your flight out here and a great visit to Disneyland, Sea World and even Knotts Berry Farm. Delta has great one way fares if you buy 5+ days in advance.
