I'm hoping it's either bleeding/air problem or a sensor that is not reading correctly anymore. I've worked on so many kinds of equipment (including big industrial inkjet printers) that rely on temperature sensors to give the "all clear." One of them starts reading incorrectly through its range, isn't connected properly, has something clogging it or obstructing it, etc., and the computer shuts the print engine down. Then you have to find the bad sensor, run the test mode, put a meter on it, etc., and figure out which one it is. In other words I'm hoping it's something you can isolate and swap out. I wish I knew more about where the MECS system gets its inputs.

Are you monitoring MeT (motor electronics temperature)? When my MECS pump was going out I could see the MeT rising on the Scangauge as I was driving and knew that shutdown was imminent. MeT is a good parameter to monitor for MECS problems. I forget what the trigger temperature was but should be easy to find in the forum.

i am watching this also - since i have an 09.
one of the most replaced electronics parts on an automobile is the coolant temp sensor;
but since that has been replaced - well i dont know.

If the MECs pump is working for sure and you have bleed the air at least 3 times, you might want to study reflashing the PCM and/or other computers with the latest editions. Something you might be able to to yourself with a short FORD subscription and connected laptop or you could take it to a hybrid safe Ford dealer. Perhaps publish the Forscan output for the dates on all the computers and members with FORSCAN can see if you are running the latest software.
