I'm still not seeing a hybrid issue, any misfiring at idle? It most likely will NOT throw a code, the thresholds are way too high on Fords. Missing is a likely cause and easily covered up by the cvt.

I do not hear a misfire occurring but please enlighten me on what to look / listen for.

Generally you'll feel a "stumble" especially at idle and see the rpm gauge move around a decent amount.

Sadly, we will not be figuring out this riddle. The vehicle was financially totaled the week before Christmas. I had just changed the ICE 12v battery an hour before the accident. Thanks to everyone for the feedback and assistance.

Sorry to hear that but it may have been for the best, gremlins are notoriously hard/impossible to track down. Did you get a fair price out of it? Having had one for 70k I can't recommend replacing it with another Ford. Currently I'm looking at an Insight first generation and a pickup so I will get overall better mpg and greatly improved utility.

The vehicle just seems to be lacking power to get up to and maintain speed. Only known issue is an unknown loss of engine oil between oil changes. Rear Main Seal and exhaust manifold have been replaced but oil loss still exists.
THE DEALER OR REPAIR SHOP strips the oil cap plastic removing the screw with the air gun or power tool, buy a new oil cap and tighten with the oil filter plyers..NEVER REMOVE THE DRAIN PLUG WITH POWER TOOLS(FORD SERVICE TECHS , I ALMOST RAN MINES WITHOUTH OIL AFTER 2 DAYS AND A OIL CHANGE.
read you user manual<<< never use premium>
