'Seems like you guys (hypermiling Senseis) are out there on the "familiar" course, still running on the "fumes".

In this case, the potential benefits to the environment and the global economy are enormous.

congratulations and many thanks to the hardworking participants of this historic accomplishment. Ya'll have been my mentors for over a year now when it comes to driving strategies and I anxiously await the details of your 48 hour ordeal.

By the way, my guess of 1400 was pretty darn close. I think it will be revealed that Dan intentionally ran out to leave the 1400 mile barrier intact for future attempts. Way to go guys.

Congratulations!! You did the nearly unthinkable, and by more than +9% to boot! Makes me wonder what would be possible if a new Insight-like vehicle was introduced with all of the latest hybrid technology that's come out in the last 7 years since the original Insight was designed. Then I can only guess you'd be shooting for 130mpg or more.
