Zero Labs Introduces Classic Electric Platform

Zero Labs Automotive’s classic electric platform future-proofs classic cars, and helps owners adopt electric mobility with ease.

According to a recent New York Times report, Toyota might actively be trying to slow EV adoption. Toyota claims that 98% of vehicles currently on-road rely on gas to some extent. The Japanese automaker also believes that the industry’s focus on an all-electric future is impeding it from paying attention to the vast majority of gas-dependents vehicles that are on sale today. An enterprising Californian firm has a solution.

Zero Labs Automotive is offering the “world’s first complete electric platform.” The company’s latest offering will allow customers to transform any ICE-powered classic car into an all-electric vehicle. The classic electric platform gets upgradable battery technology which Zero Labs claims is 250% more efficient than e-crate motor swaps.

Zero Labs Automotive’s CEO and Founder Adam Roe shared his thoughts in a statement released by the company. “Globally there are an estimated 15 times more active classic vehicles than all the Teslas ever made, and many made before 1976 are considered exempt from these standards,” said Roe. He further added, “One converted classic vehicle could have the same emissions reduction benefits as replacing the emissions of 100-4,500 new gas cars, and we have 5 million of them just in the United States.”

Zero Labs’ electric platform is a zero-emissions solution that offers impressive range and power

According to Zero Labs, the company will complete all transformations in 30 days. Customers can choose from two battery options which include an 80 kWh and a 100 kWh battery pack. As a result of this, the platform can deliver over 235 miles of range with the 100 kWh battery pack. The company also offers a 600 HP dual-motor all-wheel-drive option.

Versatile electrification solutions like the Zero Labs’ classic electric platform also have the potential to revolutionize new vehicle production. With these platforms, automakers can avoid investing a substantial chunk of their capital into retooling manufacturing facilities. They also don’t have to execute new integration strategies for EV production.

The Hawthorne, California-based company is currently taking inquiries and reservations for electric conversions for no money down. It is worth noting that Zero Labs Automotive is only offering a limited number of classic electric platforms. The company will deliver projects in the order the reservations were made.
