Holley High Voltage Experience: Where Motorsport and EVs Collide!
This inaugural show will be a celebration of the electrification of speed. Don’t miss out on a weekend of quality builds and varied racing events.
Have a deep passion for the performance potential of modern electrification technology? Perhaps you aren’t convinced at all about electric powertrains and need a bit of proof about their capabilities?
Well, we are excited to present Holley High Voltage Experience, which will be hosted on November 13-14, 2021. This event will be one of the first motorsport-focused festivals dedicated solely to electric vehicles.
Sonoma Raceway in Northern California will serve as the perfect backdrop for the event, allowing live demonstrations of the strength of electric power. Now that weather has cooled down and fall conditions are in play, expect enjoyable temperatures all weekend.
Visitors have the option to attend the event as either a spectator or as a participant in a variety of the available events and challenges. Spectators can enjoy the vast vendor midway with stunning vehicles and performance parts on display along with a massive on-site food selection!
Speed addicts- be ready to witness some of the fastest EVs in the country battle! Who will be the 2021 Grand Champion?
Attendees who are ready and willing to prove their pace best bring a helmet. Let’s not forget we are at a racetrack! The competition will take place all weekend in events such as Autocross, 3S Challenge, Drag Racing Classes, and the Road Course Challenge.
So if you have a modified electric vehicle or a non-electric vehicle modified with an electric powertrain, this is your place to be. Almost any vehicle is capable of handling an autocross course, so even if this may be a first, it won’t be an experience you’ll regret.
If you are instead a veteran speed freak with real pace and have something to prove, there are cash prizes for a variety of events. This includes $1,000 cash, gear, and a trophy for the Grand Champion Competition winner.
We can’t imagine a better way to cover the entry fee and then some! Cash prizes of up to $500 will also be offered for the Autocross and 3S Challenge. Expect some serious competition throughout the weekend if fighting for a podium placement.
So if you have an EV that can either go fast, stop fast, or carve corners, this is where you should be this weekend. For those interested in straight-line speed battling, a variety of drag racing classes be available for sign-up as well.
Unique vehicles such as the first electric-powered 200+ mph dragster in the 1/4 mile will be in attendance making passes. Spectators can also gawk in awe at the drift exhibition by the all-electric Napoleon Motorsports Camaro EL1.
This year’s largest display of performance-focused electric vehicles in an epic setting
Other notable builds gracing the event are Bisimoto’s beautiful 935 Porsche and Kyle Seggelin‘s off-road EV 4Runner. Drivers participating in the Road Course Experience may even have the chance to receive instruction from motorsport legend, Randy Pobst.
Combine all these events with the weekend-long car show putting a variety of modified EV builds on display and it sounds like a seriously action-packed weekend.
There will be no on-site registration at this event, so if you plan on attending, make sure to plan accordingly. Spectator tickets can be found here while participant tickets can be found here.
