Everything Electric: Exciting News from Lexus, Lambo and… Lego?
This week’s highlights include a new Lexus, an amazing collaboration from Lamborghini and Lego, and news from Porsche and Jeep.
It is hard to keep up with the all the electric vehicle news. As the electric and hybrid world heats up there is a lot happening. In our weekly roundup, Everything Electric looks at new rides and news from Porsche, Jeep, Lexus, Lamborghini, and more.
We Need This!
Lamborghini and Lego teamed up to build a life-sized version of the Lamborghini Sian FKP 37 supercar. It was constructed using over 400,000 Legos and replicates the limited-edition Italian super sportscar in stunning detail.
Sadly, a Lego kit of the full-sized Lambo is not for sale. But you can still buy the Lego Technic 1:8 scale car, which is probably a good idea. We’d be too tempted to get that Lego Lambo on the road.
Check the Lego Lambo Sian in all its glory.
2022 Lexus NX Arrives
After plenty of teasing, Lexus rolled out the 2022 NX with a plug-in hybrid electric vehicle (PHEV) option boasting an estimated 0-to-60 mph time of six seconds. With an electric-range estimate of 36 miles, the Lexus NX is a stylish option for hybrid performance. Plus, the NX is loaded with a host of cool features and on-board tech.
Jeep Teases Hybrid Gladiator?
Jeep posted a curious image on their Facebook page that got people wondering. The image appears to show the interior of the Jeep Gladiator pickup with what appears to be the plug-in hybrid powertrain from the Wrangler 4xe SUV.
While we do know that Jeep has plans to electrify; this is definitely ahead of schedule. Does this mean that a hybrid Gladiator is preparing to go to battle against the Ford F-150 Lightning EV? Stay tuned.
Porsche Taycan Gets Slinky
For those wanting to add some custom swag to their Porsche, Avante Design has developed a custom Taycan’s body kit. Inspired by the Porsche 911 GT3 RS, it includes a variety of sporty and slick options including a new front bumper with intakes, refreshed front bumper design, wider fenders, fender vents, and a hood with two vents.
We really like the design and the lower, wider, purposeful stance is beautifully fitting a Porsche.
VW, Part Deux
A great Instagram account to check out is Electric VW Bus. It follows the three-year journey of a Volkswagen bus undergoing an EV conversion.
