So, I finally fixed my mileage database, and it says I'm getting 42.9 MPG, but when I look at signature, it says 9MPG?

 

It needs to update. It isn't updated in real time. Give it an hour or so.

 

Um, it's not an issue of updating, it's a bug. The pictures are updated immediately but sometimes browsers display the cached versions. In this case, it's a bug -- it's displaying the last amount of gallons he put in (9.3) instead of his mileage. Very bizarre.

Verio, try editing one of your tanks but make no changes (or adjust gallons by 0.001) and save. That might fix it.

 

Or better yet, just clear your browser's cache.

The mileage images are also cached on the server and updated once er hour. Looks like it's working now.

 

Oh, that's odd. Why does it do it that way? It should recalculate the image as soon as someone updates their car, and it seems to when I modify my car...

 

To reduce server load, the mileage images are cached and only regenerated at most once per hour. This way, if the same image is loaded repeatedly (more than once on a page, several times in a thread, etc.) it doesn't regenerate every time and seriously tax the server.

 

Sounds like it is a feature not a bug.
