Might I suggest the following:
Create separate forums for news items to separate items that are hybrid related from those that are not.
Granted, there may be some cross-over, but it would give the community an idea on whether the items in the category are hybrid related or not. Some automobile information (such as Employee discounts and negotiation skills) are of interest, but maybe should not be in the mainstream of the hybrid threads.
I offer these categories:
Seen in the news: HYBRID related items
Seen in the news: non-HYBRID related items
Seen in the news: Miscellaneous automotive items
