Logging in twice

Logging in twice
Ok, for the messageboard, I've got it set up so I logged in and it stores a cookie on my PC so I don't have to log in to the messageboard every day. This is handy since I have probably 40 different usernames and accounts on various websites all over the internet. I use completely random passwords that I don't remember; I just keep them stored in an encrypted file on my PC with a password I do remember.
So point being, I don't ever remember what my password is to this site, but every time I want to add a tank or update my car's stats, I have to log in to the database section. Is there any way to make the database section use the messageboard for authentication, or at least store it's own cookies so I don't have to look up my password and log in again every time?
Additionally, is there any way to have it automatically calculate the average MPG based on the data I've entered, but still permit me to override the total vehicle miles? It seems to require you to override both currently. I have over 130,000 miles on my car, but if I override the total mileage, I have to override the LMPG too.
Ok, one more since I created a thread anyway. Is there any way to let users increase the width of their view of the forum? I run my screen at 1600x1200 pixels, so if I make my browser full screen, greenhybrid only uses the middle 1/3 or so of the screen. This makes for more scrolling than need be for long threads.

Re: Logging in twice
Brandon,
Yes, it should be possible to integrate the mileage database better with the member login. I've been looking into it for a very long time, but haven't yet been successful. Once I get some of the more major things out of the way, I'll figure out how to do that.
If you override the distance, but it calculates mileage based on your tanks, is that not misleading? The mileage it calculates will not be over the span of all those miles. I am, however, looking to allow members to create a "starting point" of mpg/distance and then let the tanks add to it.
Finally, there is no current way to increase the forum width besides using the archive. The reason being, I make so many template changes that if I were to create a second theme that's wider, I'll end up having to make the changes to both themes. Things do seem to be settling down now, though, and if there aren't really more changes to be made, perhaps I'll create that option.
