How do I get the GreenHybrid mpg banner to appear when I post on this site? I've tried searching and looking for a sticky.

Thanks

OK, I followed the directions in the first post, and when I hit save it says invalid URL. So what am I doing wrong?

This is my personal, dynamic mileage forum signature. When I add a new tank to the database, my signature updates automatically. And, now, you can use it, too!

The server reads the URL for your unique signature, extracts your car ID number, and prints out the current fuel economy rating. To create yours, follow these simple steps:
  1. [b]If permitted, copy this HTML code as your signature. If HTML is not allowed, use this URL for your image:and this URL for your link:<<
  2. Paste the HTML code as your signature or, if not permitted, create your signature using the provided URLs.<
  3. Finally, replace the character "#" with your database car ID number in both instances.
This number can be found in the address of your car's page in the mileage database immediately after "car/". For instance, my address is "greenhybrid.com/compare/mileage/car/5-midori.html" and my ID # is 5.
That's it! If you have any quesiton, please let me know. I'll see about creating an automatic code generator to make things a bit easier. Enjoy!
So how about that automatic code generator, as I can't seem to make it work following your instructions above.

Your signature is almost complete. after the "number" put the following text:

"/signature.png"

There is no ".html" just the URL with ".../6600/signature.html"

It should work like this:

https://www.greenhybrid.com/compare/.../signature.png

http:\\greenhybrid.com/compare/mileage/car/6600/signature.png

To make it work in your signature, fix the "//" and use the "postcard" tool to enter the url:

I give up. OK, so if I click on the link it takes me there, but why doesn't it display? Do I just add it to my signature or do I have to add it under the URL? I wonder why there are so many posters who don't have it. I think I understand why now. Nice site, but this is driving me crazy.
