Default Stereo sound through minijack

We just got a 2006 Prius and tried out the minijack Aux input with an ipod today. The sound through the Aux only comes out the speakers on the driver side, both front and rear. there is no sound out the passenger side when playing through the ipod, but everything plays in full stereo through the standard radio. Has anyone experienced this?

Thanks,
Adam

No trouble here, I use AUX-IN almost daily with an MP3 player. Check your cable: Is it wired correctly? Is it in fact a stereo mini plug? (stereo plugs have tip, ring and shield--3 connect points) Is the plug fully inserted into the AUX jack and the iPod? Occasionally the mechanical attributes of the plug will prevent it being fully inserted.

Since you don't have any sound on the right side at all (front or back) it must be a bad connection. A lot of times it's just the plug that didn't slide all the way in or needs to be jiggled around. It could also be a bad cable either from the "ipod" to the car or in the car.

Find a friend with another player, or take an old portable CD player, and try with that. Make sure you use another cable as well. If you still hear onlu right then you have bad wiring in the car and should have it fixed under warranty.

Sorry for the really delayed response, but you were right. I needed a new stereo cord. I have one now and it works fine.

City driving in LA every day and getting about 46mpg.

Where is everyone getting this cable? I've tried two local Radio Shacks and Best Buy. Did anyone get it online and if so, where?

Anybody got a part number from Radio Shack so I can tell the morons that work in Phoenix? Neither store could find one in their parts list and I didn't see any on the rack.
