We took delivery of a 2008 Prius on Wednesday. Even tho this car is a rental (the first hybrid rental car on Maui) I'm driving it for the first week or so to see exactly how it operates and what the fuel economy really is. I'm really impressed so far. If the average fuel economy is correct on the cabin display I'm currently averaging 50mpg after 130 miles, and I'm even using the AC like normal. Can anyone tell me what their experience is with how accurate the display average fuel economy is to actual fuel economy? I'm looking forward to my first fuel up to compare.
