Default More power in 2010 Prius=better MPG?

I have a Camry Hybrid and wife has 2007 Prius. In my car i can drive on the Hway and still get over 40 mpg driving 65. In the Prius, there is a lack of power that seems to eat at our MPG when we are at 55 or better.

My thought is the extra power in the Camry works well on the hway. With the newer Prius having more horsepower, does this translate to better MPG on Hway driving? To me the 07 Prius gets great MPG on 40-50 mile an hour flat state roads, but on the hway it drops below 50 mpg driving 60 or less.

Are there any owners with experience driving the older Pirus and seeing whatever driving differences with the newer Prius whichhas more horsepower?
