the more miles I drive the better the MPG gets
Have anyone been gettihg higher MPG now that they and there care are broaken in, 0w20 oil,20000 miles.and i am learnig to drive much better=40 to 46 MPG...Joe
I think it's a combination of you (me too) learning how to drive it, as well as the HSD breaking in and everything in the drive train moving smoother.
You can look in the MPG database and pull up individual cars and see the long-term trends of those reporting their mileage.
I'm amazed at how each tank seems to do better than the last, except when my wife drives it for the weekend.

Same here too. My last two tanks were 800 miles and todays tank of 767 miles. 700 miles appears to be the norm now that I have improved my driving skills.
Yeah I've definitely learned some things since my first year, so now all my better mileage is going to trying to counter the bad mileage I got that first winter. I got a <30mpg tank once back then! That first winter brought my lifetime mpg down to 35 mpg before I figured out stuff like so-called "full hybrid" mode, and changed my commute to a slower but shorter and significantly better mpg route. Now it's slowly creeping back upward, but it'll take a lot of good miles to compensate!
me too! Getting stuck in my driveway at least once a week did not help my cause! Now that it is warm out, I've been getting better mileage, but nowhere near the 700-800 mile tanks some of you are getting!!!
