Default Keys jammed by wifi?

happened to me the other day, happened to park outside an internet cafe - couldn't get the car to lock. Drove down the street and everything worked perfectly.

A friend has another toyota with the RF key you don't have to plug in - she parked it, also outside a (different) cafe with free wifi - couldn't start the car until she found a magic place on the dashboard where the key would work

any one else seen this?

It's documented in the owners manual. And yes, I've seen it before, but not yet on my new Prius. It used to happen to the anti-Prius (2001 Pathfinder).
