As a Prius off-roader, I drive slowly and cautiously. There are dents in the oil pan and exhaust line but nothing fatal so far. Got stuck once in wet sand and used the rear carpets for extraction. Sidewall tire cuts are always a risk (heck you can cut them on curbs in the city!). One can do a lot with 4.9 inches of ground clearance if you take it slow.

Am wondering where folks live who haven't had "scraping" problems. I'm in Austin and we have hills. But even worse than that are driveways, residential and commercial - not to mention parking "curbs", etc. The nose of the car is long and you can't see where it is! I love my 2011 Prius but HATE the way it so easily scrapes!!!!
