Its really sad, some of my friends' parents are forced to buy a different car than the prius (less options, more expensive, overall more crappy) because they couldn't afford to wait months for a new car. SAD

 

It's too bad there isn't some kind of "loaner" program for this type of scenario.

A friend of mine had a similar situation. His current car finally died and he would have like to buy the Prius, but because of the wait time he bought a non hybrid car instead.
