EBAY SCAM 464 250 6263
I have been watching salvage Prius on Ebay for a while.I was always suspicious of them-final prices etc.
This current POS is at $21500 for a salvage Prius with 3500 miles on it.Most of the bidders are low number bidders

Ebay should do more about these obvious scams.Luck,Charlie

Frankly it had not occurred to me that some of the salvage auctions might be scams. It certainly went to a high price though! I watch the 2001-2003 Prius auctions, and a very low-miles unrepaired salvage there might fetch $7 or 8 thousand.
Phoebeisis, is there any chance that I could convince you to track the ebay auctions of the new model Prius?

Tochatihu, I haven't checked the final price, but it was a scam with shill bidding. One with that equipment that wasn't salvage might go for $22,000-$23000.An absolutely new one would go for $27000-.
The bidders all had very low numbers of transactions.
No one in their right mind would give more than 65% of "normal" for a vehicle with no warranty; a vehicle that an insurance company decided it wouldn't make $$ to repair. The way these folks make money is by half *** repairing them after paying maybe $2500 for them at auction.
Some of the salvage sellers are upfront, and say 'SALVAGE" right there in the auction title.I don't have any problem with selling salvage vehicles, it they are upfront..The chiselers usually say something like "really clean, low miles" in the auction title. They usually give some crap like" was in a little fender bender and was totaled out".
Hey,I already follow Prius-new and used- on Ebay.No real reason to,since I have mine already-just curious.I have discovered that all the BS about used Prius selling for MSRP -IS BS-at least in respect to ebay.New ones sell for MSRP on Ebay-no more than that-just MSRP.Luck,Charlie
