Crazy Gas Mileage
I have been getting exactly 45 mpg from my 2004 Prius every 10K miles for the past 35K miles, summer and winter. On my birthday, Sept 29th, my stepson gave me an electronic tire pressure gauge. I checked all my tires, and they were all around 30 psi, so I increased them all to 36 psi. Now, for the last 4 tanks, I am getting 57 mpg!!! Same roads, but A/C off and windows open.
I suspect that the gauge reads low, but the ride is still very comfy and grippy, so I plan to leave it at 36 on that gauge.
