Can a sunroof be installed in the 2005 Prius?

Well, my idea for roof shaped sunroof glass would obviously only be reasonable if it were mass produced and then purchased by customizes or port options specialists, and of course, installed in a quantity that is sufficient to make the price reasonable. Who knows, Toyota may be working on that right now. Then again, maybe not.

Check out this link below. While it does not mention where or who did the work, you can see that it was well done. Note the change in the roof lines.
Let the Sunshine In or Sunroof’s in CA

it does look a bit like they flattened out the roof to make it fit. i don't know if i agree with that one, but thanks much for the link. when my '05 arrives i'll check them out for sure!

Yes it can! I have one (2007), and so far no mpg hit. I'm getting 51+mpg in my warm weather driving (down to 40mpg in Minnesota winter). No wind noise.

I wonder what TOYOTA's reasons are for not offering sunroof option to the buyers.
Will it really damage the MPG ?
more OPEX ? Not-so-good ROI ?
Or architecture not-recommended ?
I would guess, because most of latest Prius models come with climate control, with all open windows plus sunroof, it may not be good to the battery cooling mechanism they put at place. Just a guess.
Yeah, with a sunroof, it does feel good, look very stylish and make it to be the almost perfect vehicle out there.
