Any news on where I can buy it. Prius has it standard on non US models and has aftermarket here in US. What about the HiHY? I hate to back out of my driveway and have the engine running, unnecessarily using fuel. It is best to warm the engine while the car is moving forward to minimize fuel waste.

Anybody know where I can get one? Or anybody knows somebody who can develop this feature? I really believe this would further improve fuel economy.

The switch itself is just a momentary switch and you can buy it anywhere you want.
However, the EV mode switch features are available only on 2004 or later Prius worldwide and new Estima Hybrid in Japan.
You have to make your own Hybrid ECU which has the EV mode switch feature.
