It's a 6.
I still question the need for synthetic in this engine. It's considered low compression and normal oil has been fine for the last 8 years or so since it came out. Plus a rebuild will most probably have to happen way beyond 150k miles, long after most people no longer own the truck.
I'm certainly comfortable saving $30 per oil change going with regular oil.
Any qualified opinions on this?
