Is it a write off? Totaled?

Re: Is it a write off? Totaled?
My 2007 Honda Civic Hybrid was hit at a very red stop light much like your TCH, in December of this year. Didn't look like tons of damage(the front bumper was shifted to the passenger side) and was able to limp home to the garage (no salvage yard for my baby).
The other guy's insurance was Farmers Ins., I pushed for it to be totaled due to the fact there is sooooo much going on under the hood of a hybrid. After the adjuster saw her he agreed and totaled my baby and gave me the price I was hoping for as well as a proportionate share of the tag, title, tax. I upgraded to an identical 2009 and drive a little more carefully through green lights.
From crash to cash it took 18 days, pretty amazing to me!!

It took two months for GEICO to determine that your car was totalled? That's terrible, but not surprising. You should have had an answer within 2 weeks max.
I hope they paid for you to have a rental all this time.
