Default Wiper blade removal ??????

OK, I have put many wiper blades on the TCH, but I now can't get the Goodyear Assurance blades to release. Thoughts anyone? I have tried everything except brute force. I don't want to break anything.

Well, I had to physically break the clips that held the blades on to the arms. The removal tab would not disengage the blade from the arm. I'm baffled.

Don't force it, just get a bigger hammer....

I sometimes use a very small, thin bladed screwdriver to slide under and release the tab.

I tried the screwdriver also, could not get it to release. I know it sounds weird, but it would not release. Worked with it for 30 minutes, should have taken 30 seconds. Unbelievable.

i went through similar with my wife's lexus not so long ago, with conventional blades; and i can replace wipers blindfolded and with one arm tied behind my back.
i ended cutting them out with snips.
DO NOT apply any force to the arms though. you can bend them.
also, before you install the new ones, apply some anti-seize to the arm hook.

I actually had to break the plastic insert that fits into the bayonet. I have more to replace them with so it is no big deal. Don't really know what the problem was, never had that problem before.
