Where to Buy Extended Warranty - Best Price
I called Midwest Superstore couple days back and got 72/75/0 for $540 and 72/100/0 for $825. But I did not buy from them. I called my dealer where I bought my 2007 Camry HV, asked for the same price and surprisingly they agree to match the price without any trouble. By the way I was offered $1500 for the same plan at the time I purchased my car.
It seems to me that the out of box warranty for Camry HV already has pretty good coverage as following,
3yr/36,000 bumper to bumper
8yr/100,000 hybrid system components
6yr/60,000 Powertrain
It is not bad even after the initial bumper to bumper warranty expires. So my question is what I can expect from the extend warranty. Please advise.

Every extended warrantee I ever had has paid for itself. All you need is radiator, strut, ECM to fail.
Ever price a NAV screen?
I wonder what the multi display panel (speed-o-meter) goes for?
It's the electronics not related to the drivetrain that scares the begeezes out of me.

I have got to thank you guys for the information on this thread! I picked up my TCH last sat and conicelli toyota in the Philadelphia area wanted $1780 for 7/100/0 and because of your information I was able to get it for $900. They said that that was the cheapest that they have ever sold it for. They essentially matched the price that Mech Toyota in VA gives. The finance manager stated that their cost is $890 from Toyota and that the lowest she could go was to sell it for $10 over cost. She said that the guy at Mech is selling it below cost. So anyway, I hope that this helps others in their search for a warranty!

I had a really bad experience when I called Mechanicsville Toyota. I posted my story here: https://www.greenhybrid.com/discuss/...6467#post86467 .
So...I ended up getting my extended warranty (7/100K/0 for $940) and prepaid maintenance plan (4/57K for $720) from Midwest Toyota after talking to Mark, and the entire transaction was done quite hassle-free over the phone.

I think there are some exceptions - like the hybrid components, and wear and tear items. There was a list of them posted somewhere else on this forum previously.
