Lightbulb wheels

just wondering who is running 18`s and if you regret them. Also what tires are you using low profiles?

I`m debating getting these http://www.menloveparts.com/MC-CEGI-CAHA.aspx but not sure if will hurt mileage or anything.

Thanks

How the hell does a remote starter work with the smartkey system? Plus, what is the advantage of turning on the battery system, other than gaining a few minutes to cool/heat the interior?

it works using the fob pressing the lock twice then holding the lock for a few seconds. its great cooling the vehicle and heating/defrosting the windows

its all in what you like and I guess you don`t like the remote starter

Lightbulb Re: wheels

Good evening,

This is my first post to GreenHybrid, but I have been coming to these forums for about a year now. I have since purchased my fully equipped Camry in April '07.

I feel compelled to post some pictures of my car, since I have learned so much from everyone on these forums, and I know how rare these tires are. I want to give back. The tires are Michelin Pilots. I don't have the exact model number off-hand, but I can get it.

I'm not sure how the tires affect my mileage, mostly because I've only driven my car with these tires installed, and I have no clue how the car behaves with the factory tires. (I will know once winter arrives, since I will not be using these 18" for winter driving.) My tires are at 40 psi, and I seem to average about 6.5 - 6.7 L/100KM. I always try my best to get the best mileage I can. Sadly, most of my trips are only about 16KM. I hope that helps.

If you have any other questions, please feel free to ask.

Regards,
Stéphane

Wheel and tire specs are in my signature. Car is also lowered using TRD springs in the front and SE springs in the rear, and there is no rubbing.

How much lighter are either of the rims compared to stock?

My Lexus wheels are heavier than stock Camry. I think the TRD wheels are also heavier than stock.
