I traded in my 2 year old loaded 2004 Prius for which I got every penny I paid for it in trade less taxes. With the $2600 tax credit on the '07 loaded TCH it became a no-brainer and basically a free step-up to the Camry. I liked the Prius I like the Camry every bit as much.

My son totaled a 2000 Mercedes E320 wagon (he was unharmed) that was full of rust and was starting to have major breakdowns every few months. We would never have been able to sell it. The unfortunate accident allowed us to buy our first hybrid and we have been happy, happy, happy.

We had wood grain finish installed by the dealer and are very pleased with the results. This is a luxury car with great mileage - the best combination on the road!

A 1987 Saab 900s that i bought brand new while i was stationed in Germany. It had well over 200,000 miles on it and i knew it was going to cost big money to get it back up to speed. The water pump seized, the AC was out, the timing chain was way past due to be changed etc. Plus i had been looking for over a year at the Camry Hybrid. I owned a 1998 Toyota 4runner limited before that for 5 years and it never had any problems so i already knew Toyota reliability was no joke !! I'm very happy with it........and i only waited like 2-3 weeks to get it!!

I traded my 2006 Ford Five Hundred in. It was loaded, leather, 6-player radio, enormous trunk. Actually the seats were large and very comfortable. I owned the car for only a year. I had to take it back the second week due to a air conditioner loud clunk when I started the car for the day. Rear brake problems was a issue on the 500 and Freestyle wagon. They replaced mine in warranty but they continued to wear fast. Ford Service dreaded seeing me when I needed something. Four visits for TSBs, I ask them to turn on the cars DRLs. On the last trip they did after I offered to trade up to a new 2008 Taurus and also gave them the step by step printed instructions on how to activate the DRLs. Ford usually charges about $50 extra for this feature but they did not charge me. I actually negotiated for the new Taurus. They were $1000 too high for me and I worried about it's gas mileage. I was talking with the wife discussed going back to a Toyota. I had a 2003 Corolla for a few years and it never had to go back for anything. My wife suggested the TCH as she knew I wanted a hybrid really bad. I took a big loss on the Ford trade-in being only a year old.

I absolutely love my '07 hybrid. My best mpg so far is around 49 combined. I don't expect this one will ever need to go back either. Factory activated DRLs, keyless entry, deluxe radio and etc in the Hybrid.

I had a '94 Corolla. I was used to coasting to stop signs and red lights. Those original toyota brakes lasted till 105,000 miles. I think I could have went another 5000 but the wife wanted new ones. I did them myself. For sure, Toyota builds great vehicles.

Thumbs up Re: What did you trade in to buy your new Camry?

traded in a 07 jetta TDI. actually got better gas mileage in the TDI (50-55) but the seats were like sitting on a park bench. TCH seats are soft and easy to adjust. Miss the 50 mpg (I get 38 avg. in the TCH) but the loss in mileage is made up for in comfort.

Last year on Black Friday (Nov. 24, 2006) I traded an '06 Scion xB for an '07 TCH. Today I traded my beloved TCH for what I hope will be a beloved '08 Highlander Hybrid Limited. All three pictured below.

Why did you trade your 1 year old car? What was wrong with it?
