Well that was short: Sold my TCH ''/
...To my sister. Had it for a few months, and it was a joy to own. The car saved me lots of money in fuel, so I will definitely look into owning another one again in the future. Sis really needed a larger car, and they already own a Prius, so this is going to be the 'family' car, with the addition of a new baby.
To all the members here that I've spoken with and met, I would like to thank you for your insight and kind words, and this is such a great community to be a part of. I wish everyone continued success in the pursuit of maximum fuel economy.

Now the big question, what to get next?
When I got my TCH in 2007, it was one of the few full size cars on the market with so many bells and whistles (leather, push button start, Bluetooth, NAV, premium sound system w/MP3 connection, VDIM, etc.) for less than $30k. For me, it was basically a poor man's Lexus. The MPG and lower depreciation was just an added bonus.
Even now in 2008 there are very few full size cars that come as nicely appointed at that price point.
Good luck with the hunt.

My brother bought a car from my other brother. Tell your sister that she likely does not have to pay sales tax on the car, since she bought it from family. Have her check with the CA DMV. I think he said it was something like only a $25 transfer of title fee.
