We just blend in.
I started a thread asking how many people have seen other TCHs on the road. There's another thread about how to make them more popular. One thing I've noticed is that although demand is greater than supply, it still seems to be moreso for the Prius, which has been available in its current incarnation for about 3 years.
I think the reason is that the Prius is very unique looking, making it very obvious to anyone who passes or is passed by one. Also, it's only available as a hybrid. On the other hand although the Camry is new for 2007 it blends in as more of a mainstream car. And unless one gets close enough to read the HSD emblems most people would not even notice that it's a hybrid. I'm willing to bet that most of the population does not even know that the Camry is available as a hybrid. Once that happens I think that the demand will start increasing for them.

You are mostly correct, especially for people following you. The "Hybrid Synergy Drive" tag in the rear is too small for people to notice while following you. The side tags are much easier to spot, but at highway speed usually only the passenger of another car will see them. The best chance of being noticed is while being stuck in traffic. On the trip home yesterday (sitting in traffic) someone actually noticed me and rolled down his windows to ask questions.
For the record, he didn't know the Camry came in hybrid flavor...

Which is why I added this to mine: license plate frame.
Note that the second word is for "OPEC" and not "OFF"!

Why should I block the tag number? It is viewable in public everywhere I drive, and the plate number as assigned to a TCH in AZ is publicly available on the web. The only additional personal info from this posting is a first name and a city.

I got it from this company. They were cheap and fast, and the quality is very good. No complaints. It was the plain black with block letters. For a few bucks more you can get fancy lettering. Feel free to duplicate mine, I got both top and bottom ideas from here! The bottom came from GreenHybrid's own store. Make sure you check out the Site Store , too!
