Most techs will look at the car history, notice that a brake job has never been done on the car and try to sell one while it is there. Unless you kiss the service writers hind end, most techs at a dealership never get the "gravy" jobs and brakes rate up there at the top for "easy money". If he can sell a brake job on a car in his bay, he gets the money for the book time on that job.
