Traded in my 2007 for a 2009. There is a big difference between the two. The 2009 rides better, is much quieter, and the stereo is WAYYYYY louder? Were there changes made to these elements of an already great car? I loved the '07, and am blown away by the '09.

I also wonder if you had Bridgestones on the 07 and have Michelins on your 09. My 07 came with Bridgestones - at the beginning they made their presence known. As they wore down they got downright noisy. The Falkens I replaced them with are vastly quieter, and have better traction and ride.

 

Before we sold our '07, we replaced the tires. The michelin's had become quite noisy in 35,000 miles. Much quieter when replaced.

I'd suggest that you make sure that you keep tires rotated and keep an eye open for uneven tire wear. I suspect that the tire noise may creep up on the '09 over time.

We did notice that the "whine" as you brake was much quieter on the '09.

 

Bought the 07 used with 6000 miles on it. An old man bought it and hated it, traded it in with low miles. Apparently he forgot he hated the TCH because he bought ANOTHER one and traded it in with 4000 miles on it. So I traded....just started loan over with same payment and gained leather/sunroof. The 07 had Bridgestones, replace then IMMEDIATELY. This one has the michelins....still cant figure out the HUGE difference in sound systems. Both have the JBL (non-nav).
