Sunroof Wind Deflector - Not Avail From Toyota
So, on my last service call I stopped over at Parts to order the Sunroof Wind Deflector (per catalog, avail Summer 2006).
We looked through the accessory catalog, no deflector.
Checked the computer, no deflector.
It being a Saturday, not much else we can do, so Parts says they will call and order on Monday.
Monday afternoon, I get a call. Apparently Toyota is not making them, or so I am told the warehouse says..
Has anyone got different information, or any dealers out there who can get one of these? I love my sunroof, but it IS noisy when open on the highway.
Thanks!

I believe the noise can be reduced by just cracking one of the rear windows. If you try it,please post results..........Do not use hammer to crack it,,,,,just open it a crack...smile...
Theres also an issue with noise if you open the moonroof "all the way", beyond the normal auto-stop location. Toyota has programmed in a perfect place for it to stop, and reduces the noise somewhat. It is much louder at speed, if you open it further.
Check the following from a Toyota dealer (I just received body side moldings and rear/front mudflaps from them today for my blue ribbon metallic TCH).
