Suggestions for Tires??

Re: Suggestions for Tires??
I echo the Michelins - good choice.
The Bridgestones are turds. Their grip is very fragile; you need to be careful on some turns, or you will fine yourself "dry-doh!-planing"...like hydroplaning, except on dry surfaces.
Had a few close calls already; obviously, my driving is to blame, bottom line, but I've had other cars with Michelins that did not have this issue unless I was really pushing it.

Re: Suggestions for Tires??
I agree, as someone who has recently got the car and have been unhappy with the Bridgestones. I think they make some great tires, my X5 had great ones (Turanza) but these have very little grip. I will be switching to Michelin when they get a bit older or I see a good deal.

Re: Suggestions for Tires??
To all,
I would like to thank the group for all the discussion related to the tires. I decided to go with the Primacy MXV4. They were installed today!! As described they are much quieter and smoother tire than the Bridgestone. We got 24K miles on the original tires. I didn't wear them down completely but it was time to change them with winter coming.
I took a quick trip that I track mileage on and it seems mileage will be about the same.
I have seen previous posts people have just RAVED about how quiet, smooth and improved handling. Well, they ALL are correct!! It is like having a new car! I would recommend people who are looking to buy a car; they should trade the Bridgestone tire right from the start!!
Thanks again! Bill
