Default Snow brush and scraper

It snowed in Souther NY the first time and I broke out the snow brush and scraper. While I was cleaning off the snow I was paranoid to not touch the paint with the brush or the scraper because I was afraid it would scratch.

That said, what are people's thoughts on use of a snow brush, suggestions on types of brushes that might not scratch the paint, and any other thoughts on the subject.

Thanks,
Mike

When I was up skiing last week a guy gave me one of these.

Sounds hokey and I had by doubts, but the d**n thing works pretty good. I don't know how it would handle very hard ice, but the typical frosted on snow was not hard at all with it.

I think they will wear out pretty fast, but it's only 12 bucks for a pack of three, which should last all winter.

HINT: Use it dry, without any de-icing fluid. I tried to use it with Pyroil and it made a mess that required several wipes to clean up. It wouks much better dry. It will leave some water streaking, but I carry a few paper rags to clean up the last few spots.
