Default Smart Key

2009 TCH, does leaving the smart key in the vehicle drain the battery??

the smart key's battery or the car's?
if the key is within a few feet of the car, the key never goes to sleep, so it will drain quicker than if it was allowed to go to sleep. It also does this if is near a fluorescent bulb or a cell phone charger.
as to the car's battery..I have no idea, but I doubt it

Thanks for the reply... Does leving the smart key in the ignition drain the vehicles battery?
