I voted "other, please explain".

I probably wouldn't leave the site because of the spam ads, but I do think they are being posted in all the wrong places, ie: in every individual car forum.

Possible solution: add a designated forum in the "miscellaneous" section with an appropriate heading related to ads, and have them posted only there.

exactly, ignore it if you don't like it and just go about your business. it is what keep this site going besides of course the members. and this thread exists because of freedom of speech.
