Replacement 12v Battery For 2008 Camry Hybrid
The battery on my 2008 Camry Hybrid has needed to be jumped three times in the last two weeks. I'm thinking it needs to be replaced, but I know they're expensive from the dealership (was quoted $484). So my questions are:
- What steps can I take to validate whether it really needs replacement or if there are other steps I can take (charging it more fully, etc.) to extend the battery's life;
- If it does need to be replaced, what aftermarket alternatives exist? I've seen several mentions in forums of Optima batteries related to 2007 Camrys, but nothing for 2008's, and the places I've visited (AutoZone, Advance Auto Parts, Batteries Plus) say they don't carry a compatible replacement.
Thanks!
