Default Rear wheel well

Hello everyone,

I wash my TCH for the first time last weekend and noticed that the rear wheel well was this carpet material. I thought this was very odd and would thing it would get very dirty and next to impossible to clean. Is everyone else's car this way? And why isn't it molded plastic like the front?

Thanks!
Mike

Awesome. I'm glad I'm not missing a part. Any thoughts on why that wasn't done in the front as well?

I noticed the "carpet" material in the rear wheel well when I put on the Mud Guards & thought it was odd too... Even if its outdoor-grade its going to be a mess in a few years - I agree this should've been molded plastic.

Engine noise in the front helps up there. It's on every Camry model, so they didn't change it for the Hybrids.

It'll be fine. This is not a new thing, it's been done for many years!
