Be careful about ozone, it can promote rust on any exposed, metal surface. It is effective because it oxidizes everything it comes in contact with.

I just hope we don't see another labor relations story ... "Toyota Quality Control Inspector Found Dead In Car" or "PETA Protests Toyota Abuse of Precious Lab Animal."

Activated charcoal is an amazingly effective cheap solutions for evil odors. You can find it at a pet shop or aquarium store. They sell it as a filtering agent for use in fish tanks. A few packs of that stuff will absorb a _lot_ of odors.
