Default PlasmaCluster/Center Console Color

Has anyone found a kit or solution for changing the aqua blue color of the center console yet? It doesn't fit the rest of the car IMO...

I saw a post on toyotanation.com where a member changed the LED's in his steering wheel and the HVAC. Apparently the LED's in the center console actually have colour filters on them that can be removed to change the colour.

Here's the link:

Thanks for the link. I will check them out. My biggest issue is the clear/light blue plastic that surrounds the Nav unit and climate control systems. Most of the wood grain packages don't appeal to me as the amount of wood is just too much. Heck even plain old black would be better (to me) than the blue.

So the steering wheel buttons are supposed to be lit at night? The ones on my Camry have been un-lit since I test drove the car. I even said to myself that Toyota should have made buttons backlit since the lettering even looks translucent. Haha, if that's the case the only thing to have broken on my car wasn't even working before I bought it.

But I agree, it would be nice to change the color of the center controls.

[slightly off topic]The Cooper Mini has 'mood lighting' which you can change by pressing a button, very cool[/slightly off topic]

The steering wheel buttons are definitely lit. I would assume that they are tied into the dashboard dimming light, if your dashboard lights aren't turned all the way up maybe that is the case. Also I believe mine only glow when the headlights are on.

How do you change the dashboard dim settings?
